Abstract
Ovaj rad govori o početcima hrvatske pismenosti. Prvi dio rada odnosi se na povijesne okolnosti koje su uvjetovale te početke. Prikazani su početci pismenosti u duhu latinske kulture kao i misije Solunske braće. Crkva je imala glavnu ulogu u širenju pismenosti, a samostani su bili prostori gdje su se pisale rukopisne knjige. Obrađena je najstarija latinična te glagoljska epigrafika, latinska diplomatska građa, latinske te glagoljske liturgijske knjige i na kraju spomenici napisani bosančicom. Latinica, glagoljica i bosančica pisma su koja su stvorila vrijedne spomenike na latinskom, crkvenoslavenskom jeziku, hrvatske redakcije i narodnom jeziku. Cilj rada bio je da se opišu epigrafski spomenici i rukopisi iz ranosrednjovjekovnog razdoblja kako bi se ostvarila slika tropismenosti i trojezičnosti. Ta slika obilježila je najraniju hrvatsku povijest.
Abstract (english)
This thesis deails with the beginnings of Croatian literacy. The first part refers to the historical circumstances that led to these beginnings. This text shows the beginnings of literacy in the spirit of the Latin culture and mission of Solunian brothers. The church had the major role in the spread of literacy and monasteries were places where the books were written. This text shows oldest Latin and Glagolitic epigraphy, Latin diplomatic documents, Latin and Glagolitic liturgical books and monuments written on Bosnian Cyrillic. Latin, Glagolitic and Bosnian Cyrillic are the scripts that have created important monuments in Latin, Old Church Slavonic, Croatian redaction and native language. The goal is to describe epigraphic monuments and manuscripts from early medieval period in order to show the atmosphere of three scripts and three languages. That picture shows the earliest Croatian history.
