Alternative methods of knowledge transfer and acquisition of desirable skills in the context of an individual's education are gradually becoming a topical issue in the world. On the one hand, free traditional schooling is likely to remain in place for many years to come, while on the other hand, a number of alternative institutions are opening up include innovative and original mechanisms of upbringing and education. Therefore, this paper presents the relevant characteristics of alternative education on the example of the Waldorf Elementary School in Rijeka. We tried to identify the factors that influence the motivation and intentions of parents when enrolling children in alternative school and to examine teachers' attitudes about the character and quality of the curriculum. Data were collected by survey method, and due to the epidemiological situation on a smaller cause than anticipated, which included 6 teachers and 38 parents. The obtained answers to some questions about the elements of the alternative,Waldorf school in Rijeka, confirmed three hypotheses that were set at the very beginning of the research. We found out how satisfied teachers and parents of enrolled children are with the content offered by this educational and we noticed that the material condition and the amount of enrollment in the Elementary Waldorf School in Rijeka in this paper do not affect the choice of alternative, instead of the traditional educational program for parents of students of this school.
