Like the other forms of body modifications, tattoos have become popular around the world nowadys. According to their appearance, they can be considered as body decorations, but because of pain and persistence factors they are different from the usual methods of making or looking at body decorations. With the growing trend and popularity of body tattooing as part of creating an individual's identity, the phenomenon has emerged in defining motifs that make up the subject and the meaning of the tattoos themselves. The mentioned phenomenon is a tattoo motif of religious content, or motifs that include individual expressions of religiosity through modifying bodies and cause great attention to these controversies in society. With this work an attempt was made to define the common features of the tattoo of religious content, considering their visual aspect and finding their meaning and motifs by individuals. For a better understanding of this phenomenon, the subject of the study describes the characteristic features of the tattoo of religious content as a way of expressing the religiosity of an individual, their influence and correlation with an individual's daily experience and the practice of religiosity. Quantitative content analysis of photos on Instagram and Facebook profiles of tattoo shops was conducted, and then through qualitative approaches were checked interviews with individuals who are carriers of a tattoo of this type.
