Abstract
Posljednja dva stoljeća vladavine mletačkog lava Dalmacijom bila su prožeta ratovima, epidemijama i pomicanjem granica. Ovo je posljednje razdoblje u kojem Dalmacija stoji kao bastion Mletačke Republike pred naletima Osmanlija i u kojem u naše krajeve pristižu mnogobrojni umjetnici sa suprotne obale Jadrana. Izmjenjivali su se periodi mira ili ratovanja, a u dalmatinskim svetištima su pod vještim rukama istaknutih altarista, kipara, graditelja te unutar altarističkih radionica nastajali neki od najljepših primjera barokne altaristike u Dalmaciji. Ovo vrijeme bilježi import djela Baldassarea Longhene, Giovannija Marije Morlaitera i boravak Francesca Pense zvanog Cabianca. Naručitelji oltara su bili raznovrsni, počevši od tijela vlasti, bogatih građanskih i plemićkih obitelji do bratovština, pučana i seljaka. Importiraju se oltari iz Venecije, ujedno se naručuju djela kod lokalnih majstora i altarističkih obitelji poput klesarsko-graditeljske porodice poput Bokanića ili Pomenića. Stilski barokna plastika u Dalmaciji tijekom 17. i 18. stoljeća odraz je umjetničkih strujanja iz Venecije. Posebno mjesto u korpusu dalmatinske altaristike 18. stoljeća imaju oltari doseljenih talijanskih obitelji Coste, Bruttapelle i Dall'Acqua.
Abstract (english)
The last two centuries of the rule of the Venetian Lion in Dalmatia were pervaded by wars, epidemics, and the movement of borders. This is the last period in which Dalmatia stands as a bastion of the Venetian Republic in front of the Ottomans' boulders, and in this region there are numerous artists from the opposite coast of the Adriatic sea. In the changing periods of peace or warfare in the Dalmatian sanctuaries, under the hands of prominent altarists, sculptors, builders and inside the altarist workshops, some of the most beautiful examples of baroque altarism in Dalmatia emerged. This period is characterized by the import of the works by artists such as Baldassare Longhena, Giovanni Maria Morelaiter and the stay of Francesco Pensa called Cabianca. The altar commissioners were diverse, starting with the authorities, rich civil and noble families, brotherhoods, commoners and peasants. Venetian altars were imported, and work was commissioned by local masters and altarist families such as stonemason families like Bokanić or Pomenić. Stylistic Baroque plastics in Dalmatia during the 17th and 18th centuries is the reflection of art flows from Venice. The altars of the immigrated Italian families Coste, Bruttapelle and Dall'Acqua have a special place in the corpus of Dalmatian altarism of the 18th century
