Abstract
Cilj ovog rada je predstaviti brojne načine preveniranja ovisnosti o medijima kod djece školske dobi. Rad donosi kratak pregled povijesti razvoja medija koji danas igraju vrlo važnu ulogu u životu svakog pojedinca, obilježavaju ga i imaju velik utjecaj na njegovo svakodnevno funkcioniranje. Također, rad nudi definicije i obilježja ovisnosti o medijima s posebnim naglaskom na ovisnost o televiziji i ovisnost o internetu (u koju spada i ovisnost o društvenim mrežama) koji iznimno dominiraju stoljećem u kojem živimo. Analizira i značaj medija u životu djeteta koje spada u dobnu skupinu najpodložniju štetnom utjecaju medija. Upravo zato, nabrojani su i predstavljeni brojni štetni utjecaji medija na djecu i ljude koji se nalaze u njegovoj okolini. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na tretiranje teme prevencije nastanka ovisnosti o medijima kod djece školske dobi. Temeljeni na savjetima i istraživanjima stručnjaka, predloženi su neki od načina prevencije ovog tipa ovisnosti za roditelje i odgojnoobrazovne djelatnike u roditeljskom domu i u odgojno obrazovnoj ustanovi.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this paper is to present ways of preventing media addiction in school-aged children. The paper provides a brief overview of the history of media development that play a very important role in everyone’s life, mark each individual and have a great impact on his daily functioning. Furthermore, the paper provides definitions and characteristics of media addiction with emphasis on television addiction and Internet addiction (which includes social media addiction) that extremely dominate the present century that we are living in. In addition, it also analyzes the importance of the media in the life of a child who belongs to the age group most susceptible to the harmful influence of the media. Specifically, because of that fact, numerous harmful influences of the media on children and people around them are listed and presented. Special emphasis is placed on the topic of prevention of media addiction among school-age children. Based on the advice and research of experts, some of ways to prevent this type of addiction have been proposed for parents and educators in the parental home and in the educational institution
