Abstract
Rad se bavi interpretativnom psihoanalizom likova u ciklusu knjiga Andrzeja Sapkowskog o vješcu Geraltu. Pozornost je obraćena na osam knjiga rečenog ciklusa, a naglasak je stavljen na likove Geralta, Ciri, Yennefer i Maslačka uz kraće analize sporednih likova kroz prizmu psihofilozofskih učenja Sigmunda Freuda, Carla Gustava Junga i njihovih nasljednika. Isto tako, likovi su prikazani kroz nekoliko zajedničkih punktova poput mitologije, bajke i autorove utilizacije likova kao zrcala vlastitog života. Cilj je bio secirati psihoproblematiku fantastičnih likova, naći poveznice s mitološkim pričama te ustanoviti određene otklone od bajkovite narativne linije u adaptacijama bajki u formi kratkih priča. Elemente strukture sage Sapkowski nasljeduje od Tolkiena, ali i od niza drugih autora što tvori originalni amalgam utjecaja što daje ciklusu knjiga autohtonost. Došlo se do zaključka da je psihoanalitička teorija vrlo plodonosna pri analizi rečenih saga, a psihološki momenti skriveni u likovima dijelom su i razlozi popularnosti Sapkowskijevih djela.
Abstract (english)
The work engages in interpretative psychoanalysis of characters in the cycle of books by Andrzej Sapkowski about the witcher Geralt. Attention is focused on eight books from the mentioned cycle, with an emphasis on the characters of Geralt, Ciri, Yennefer, and Dandelion, along with shorter analyses of supporting characters through the prism of the psycho-philosophical teachings of Sigmund Freud, Carl Gustav Jung, and their successors. Similarly, the characters are depicted through several common points such as mythology, fairy tales, and the author's utilization of characters as mirrors of his own life. The goal was to dissect the psychological problems of fantastical characters, find connections to mythological stories and establish certain deviations from the narrative line in adaptations of fairy tales in the form of short stories. Sapkowski inherits elements of the structure of the saga from Tolkien, but also from several other authors, which creates an original melting pot of influences that gives the cycle its authenticity. It was concluded that psychoanalytic theory is very fruitful for the analysis of the mentioned sagas and the psychological elements hidden in the characters are, in part, reasons for the popularity of Sapkowski's works.
