Abstract
Glavni cilj istraživanja bio je ispitati učestalost, karakteristike i razloge akademskog odugovlačenja kod hrvatskih studenata. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 418 studenata hrvatskih sveučilišta koji su ispitani anketnim upitnikom postavljenim na Internetu. Upitnik se sastoji od demografskih podataka, Ljestvice za procjenjivanje stupnja odlaganja obveza kod studenata i Kratke verzije Upitnika ispitne anksioznosti. Rezultati su pokazali da hrvatski studenti u velikoj mjeri odugovlače s akademskim obvezama. Najviše odlažu učenje za ispite i pisanje seminarskih radova. Najčešći razlozi za odugovlačenje su lijenost, averzija prema zadatku i neorganizacija vremena. Studenti su pokazali umjerenu razinu ispitne anksioznosti. Utvrđena je djelomična korelacija ispitne anksioznosti i akademskog odugovlačenja.
Abstract (english)
The main goal of the present research was to examine the frequency, characteristics and reasons behind academic procrastination among Croatian students. 418 students enrolled in Croatian universities have taken part in the research by filling out an online questionnaire. The questionnaire is made of basic demographic information, the Procrastination Assessment Scale for Students (PASS) and the Short form of the Test Anxiety Inventory (TAI). Results have shown that Croatian students exhibit a significant level of procrastination related to academic obligations. They procrastinate most with studing for exams and writing their term papers. The most common reasons for procrastination are laziness, aversiveness of task and time management. Students have shown a moderate level of test anxiety. A partial correlation between test anxiety and academic procrastination has been established.
