In Reggio pedagogy the basic aspect is an active, creative and competent pre-school child who speaks hundreds of languages, and uses a numerous ways to express his or her feelings, thoughts and ideas. In the implementation of educational practice openness to the child and his or her interests and proposals is expressed. Accepting aesthetics as an important dimension of life, Reggio educators combine rationality, imagination, emotion and aesthetics. In Reggio pedagogical concept the importance of spatial planning, starting from its architectural design to the choice of color and lighting, is particularly emphasized. The space is organized in the way that allows the child to feel free to express his or her creative potential, curiosity and autonomy in communication with the others. In Reggio pedagogy the project represents the basis of realization of educational practices and always starts from the child. As the project is implemented the educators keep records about children's discussions and proposals. By listening carefully to the child, recording and filming they come to understand how a child sees the world around him. Knowing to listen to the others and to be sensitive to others' opinion in Reggio pedagogy is so appreciated principle that it is called “the pedagogy of listening”.
