Abstract
Glavni predmet ovog istraživanja bio je definirati kvalitetno školsko i nastavno okružje te analizirati njihov utjecaj na postignuća učenika i njihovo zadovoljstvo školom općenito. Tradicionalno poimanje procesa odgoja i obrazovanja najveći naglasak stavljalo je na rad i disciplinu učenika, a učitelj je bio u središtu toga procesa. Implementiranjem suvremenih odgojno – obrazovnih pristupa i na njima utemeljenih nastavnih metoda i socijalnih oblika nastavnog rada, mijenjaju se glavne karakteristike razreda kao zajednice i razreda kao prostora. Gotovo je nemoguće provoditi suvremeni nastavni proces unutar prostora koji je dizajniran za tradicionalnu nastavu. Stoga, učitelji i ostalo stručno osoblje škole trebaju povesti brigu o tome kako izgledaju prostorije unutar škole, ali i izvan nje te jesu li one prilagođene učenicima. Istraživanja upućuju na pozitivne učinke kvalitetnog školskog i nastavnog okružja na uspjeh i motiviranost učenika. Također, neka istraživanja i autori sugeriraju na važnost uvažavanja potreba učenika i nastavnika tijekom izgradnje i dizajniranja školske zgrade.
Abstract (english)
The main subject of this research was to define a quality school and teaching environment and to analyze their impact on student achievements and their satisfaction with school in general. The traditional understanding of the process of upbringing and education placed the greatest emphasis on the work and discipline of students, and the teacher was at the center of that process. By implementing modern educational approaches and teaching methods based on them and social forms of teaching work, the main characteristics of the class as a community and the class as a space are changing. It is almost impossible to carry out a modern teaching process within a space designed for traditional teaching. Therefore, teachers and other professional staff of the school should take care of how the rooms inside and outside the school look like and whether they are suitable for students. Research points to the positive effects of a quality school and teaching environment on the success and motivation of students. Also, some researchers and authors suggest the importance of respecting the needs of students and teachers during the construction and design of the school building.
