This thesis is about digital devices and digital tools. They are inevitable part of today's world. The special emphasis is put on the influence of these devices and tools on the children of an early age and preschool children. Today, children get familiar with the possibilities of digital world very early on with the help of their parents, siblings and their surroundings. Children notice and imitate the ways in which parents use digital devices. To children, parents represent the basis in the approach of using these types of devices. For that reason, in the research part of this thesis, the aim was to examine parental attitudes towards the influence of the digital devices and digital tools on the children of an early age and preschool children and to compare them with already known data. The research was conducted with a help of online survey questionnaire. Three hundred people participated in this research during the months of july and august of 2024. According to the obtained results, almost all the preschool children use digital devices. Timeframe of the usage is two hours a day in the most cases. Parents are familiar with the possible negative influence of digital devices on children. On the other hand, parents are not familiar with the presence of digital devices and the possibilities that they offer. In close connection with these results is also greater lack of knowledge of the possible positive influences of the usage of digital devices. An area for education and work with parents has been noticed in this domain in order to have more comfortable and easier usage of digital devices among both children and parents.
